Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Google, Microsoft Fulfilling Pope’s Agenda to Restrict Freedom via COPPA

Representatives of the five most popular technology companies have met with Pope Francis at the Vatican and have joined with Roman Catholicism and other interfaith groups to destroy freedom of speech and freedom of the press under the guise of protecting children under a program called COPPA—Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. Students of Bible Prophecy understand that this is an effort by Satan himself to prevent the proclamation of the Three Angels’ Messages, the final message of mercy, from going to every nation, kindred, tongue and people.

One of the primary agencies that Satan is working through in these last days is Roman Catholicism, Popery, to destroy civil and religious liberty. Since its inception, Roman Catholicism, described in Revelation 13:1-10 as a leopard, which according to Jeremiah 13:23 cannot change, has hated and despised liberty of conscience and thus has ever made war upon the principles of the Constitution of the United States which guarantee freedom of speech, freedom of the press and the right to peaceably assemble (please see The Great Controversy page 564). The present Pope, since his pontificate has not been silent regarding his disdain for freedom of conscience, speech and expression. Please consider the following headlines: “Pope Francis: Freedom of expression has limits’;”1 “Pope warns media over ‘sin’ of spreading fake news, smearing politicians;”2 “Pope Francis: religion should not be confined to ‘personal conscience.’”3

Back to COPPA. Reported on Rome Reports under the headline, “Vatican asks technology giants to protect children on Internet,” the following can be read: “The Vatican asks the world’s five technology giants to help protect children on the Internet. Representatives from Apple, Amazon, Google, Facebook and Microsoft will be in the Vatican this week for a meeting on child dignity, attended by organizations that help minors, experts, political and religious leaders.”4 How ironic that the very institution notorious for its system of abuse of minors and coverup of its pedophilia and sexual abuses that has been going on for decades, is posturing itself as a defender and protector of children. Let us not forget what Pope Francis said in defense of sexual predators in the Roman Catholic hierarchy as it relates to the sexual abuse scandals: “Pope Francis: Satan tries to ‘uncover’ bishops’ sin to ‘scandalize the people.’”5

Deeper research about COPPA, reveals that the “protection” of children online is but a guise, a smokescreen to accomplish the agenda of Roman Catholicism—the restriction of freedom of speech and the press to end Protestantism, in the name of shutting down what is deemed extremist content. Here we read it in black and white under the headline: “At the Vatican, big-tech and interfaith groups team up to protect minors on the web: “A coalition of big-tech companies and institutions meeting at the Vatican starting Thursday (Nov. 14) seeks to create a safe environment for children on the internet through cooperation and concrete actions. The international and interreligious conference, ‘Promoting Digital Child Dignity: From Concept to Action,’ was organized to combat the multiplying risks and challenges of the internet for minors… ‘For a global challenge, we need a global solution,’ Lombardi said…The idea for the conference began in 2017, when the Gregorian University in Rome hosted a global congress with representatives from Silicon Valley, Wall Street and the FBI. From that meeting, the ‘Child Dignity Alliance’ was born, with the goal of tackling the damage and impact the digital age has on children. A second forum took place last year in Abu Dhabi between interreligious representatives, the ‘Interfaith Alliance for Safer Communities,’ and resulted in a commitment to combat the sexual abuse of minors, extremism and human trafficking.”6

Did you notice how extremism was slipped in, almost imperceptibly, among the rhetoric of combatting sexual abuse and human trafficking, of which Popery is also a notorious perpetrator (see Revelation 18:10-16). As he has not been silent on freedom of conscience, Pope Francis has had much to say concerning extremism, which he and others loosely define. “Pope Francis urges world religions to fight extremism, fundamentalism.”7 “Pope Condemns Religious Fundamentalism…’A fundamentalist group, even if it kills no one, even it strikes no one, is violent. The mental structure of fundamentalism is violence in the name of God.’”8 “Pope Francis Criticizes Fundamentalists Who Believe They Possess ‘Absolute Truth.’”9

With the new regulations and guidelines under COPPA, it is clear to see how the Three Angels’ Messages along with other Biblical messages on standards of truth and righteousness will be labeled as extremist content and will be shut down. Nevertheless, Satan and His agents will not be able to silence the Loud Cry of the Third Angel. God will supernaturally work to enlighten the whole earth with His glory and call men and women out of Babylon and out of sin. May we allow God’s Word to sanctify us daily so that we can not only attain victory over sin ourselves but that we may also cooperate with Christ in sounding the last message of mercy to a dying world.
