According to the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation, Roman Catholicism will regain her lost supremacy and again control the world with her despotism. Depicted as a leopard, because a leopard cannot change its spots (characteristics), the same practices that have been perpetrated at the hands of this haughty, iniquitous power will be repeated.During the reign of the Papacy between the years 538 A.D. and 1798 A.D., the Roman Catholic Church used a litany of measures to compel the consciences of the people and thus hold them in Papal darkness, error and superstition. They used threatenings, bribery, imprisonment, excommunication, interdict, public shaming, physical torture and of course execution. To quench the reformation and forever quiet the protest, Papal leaders sought to force the leading reformers to recant their writings, their positions and teachings, the writings of earlier reformers and to pledge their allegiance to Roman Catholicism. To accomplish this end they would firstly offer inducements; and if this failed, they would resort to more cruel measures such as locking them away in dungeons where they were deprived of basic necessities such as food, water, light and of course proper sanitation. Unfortunately, in some instances the Papacy was successful in forcing recantations from those professing the reformed faith. However, not content with private recantations, the reformers were forced to publicly recant, and not once, but as many times as the Ecclesiastics would demand to humiliate them, bolster the pride of Roman Catholicism and also to show the sincerity of the renunciation of the reformation and its leaders and their willingness to fully assent to Roman Catholic doctrines.
After U.S. speaker of the House of Representatives, Paul Ryan asked Roman Catholic, Jesuit Chaplain of Congress to resign, and later reinstated him to his position after much outcry and accusations of anti-Catholicism, Ryan has made further recantations, showing his deference for Jesuits and Roman Catholicism. What, you may be asking, is he recanting. On the surface he is recanting his decision to remove Patrick Conroy as Congress’ Chaplain; but looking deeper with the consideration of American history, it is clear that Mr. Ryan is recanting the principles that America was founded upon, the principles for which Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy were assassinated for. A MSN headline says it all “Paul Ryan says America needs Catholicism weeks after failed chaplain ousting.” What is in the article is even more startling,: “House Speaker Paul Ryan made the case Thursday for Catholicism as a faith can help solve the country's problems, just weeks after his office made headlines for forcing the resignation of a Catholic House chaplain...Ryan, who is also Catholic, lamented at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast what he sees as a deepening sense of ‘dentity politics and tribalism’ in the country, as well as a trend of ‘moral relativism’ that is becoming ‘more and more pervasive.’ ‘If there was ever a time, if there was ever a place where Catholics — from the clergy to the laity — are needed, it is here and it is now, helping solve this problem, addressing this challenge,’ he said. ‘Our social doctrine is the perfect antidote to what ails our culture.’ Ryan said he sees ‘this tremendous opportunity for Catholics to lead’ and ‘help bring our culture and our country closer to their great moral potential.’
‘We are uniquely suited for this task -- from the clergy to the laity, we all have got to step up,’ he added. Earlier this month, Rev. Pat Conroy, the House chaplain and a Jesuit priest, sent a letter to Ryan's office rescinding his resignation that he made weeks earlier -- a resignation that caused a firestorm across Capitol Hill as members of both parties demanded answers as to why Conroy was asked to leave. In his letter, Conroy alleged that Ryan's chief of staff, Jonathan Burks, suggested it might be time for a non-Catholic chaplain when he asked Conroy to resign -- an account Burks has denied.Hours after the letter was sent, Ryan accepted Conroy's decision to stay.”1
It is clear that Paul Ryan, in order to fully affirm his faith and allegiance to Popery, is placing his faith, Roman Catholicism, above his position as the United States Speaker of the House, which is is a betrayal of the constitution, more specifically the first Amendment, a portion of which states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” And it is no secret that Roman Catholics have a deep-seated disdain for the constitution and has ever worked assiduously to overthrow its principles. Since religion, the Roman Catholic religion, is being promoted by congress, the next step is the prohibition of the free exercise of any practice or religion divergent from Catholicism. What is also clear from Ryan’s statement that “Our [Catholic] social doctrine is the perfect antidote to what ails our culture, is the fulfillment of the following statement made by Ellen White in 1897: “Roman Catholic principles will be taken under the care and protection of the state.”2
One Roman Catholic principle that is being widely promoted in the U.S. Congress and was preached by Pope Francis before a joint session of Congress in 2015 is the common good3 that calls upon citizens to give up their individual rights for the “good” of society according to Roman Catholicism. The doctrine of the common good is connected to the National Sunday Law movement. Additionally, all of the societal ills that Ryan mentioned such as “moral relativism,” are issues, according to Pope Francis and Roman Catholicism, that can only be solved by enforced Sunday worship which Ryan generalizes as “social doctrines” in his remarks.
Another statement by Ryan that must be highlighted is him seeing “this tremendous opportunity for Catholics to lead and help bring our culture and our country closer to their great moral potential.’” Obviously he is holding up Roman Catholicism as the moral standard or authority while he is also encouraging Roman Catholics to lead the culture and the country. If Roman Catholicism leads, then all others follow, which brings us to the fulfillment of Revelation 13:3 and 4, “And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?”
We are living in solemn and important times that demand our attention and urgency and necessitate our proclamation of the unadulterated Three Angels’ Messages. “God's word has given warning of the impending danger; let this be unheeded, and the Protestant world will learn what the purposes of Rome really are, only when it is too late to escape the snare. She is silently growing into power. Her doctrines are exerting their influence in legislative halls, in the churches, and in the hearts of men. She is piling up her lofty and massive structures in the secret recesses of which her former persecutions will be repeated. Stealthily and unsuspectedly she is strengthening her forces to further her own ends when the time shall come for her to strike. All that she desires is vantage ground, and this is already being given her. We shall soon see and shall feel what the purpose of the Roman element is. Whoever shall believe and obey the word of God will thereby incur reproach and persecution.”4
