Chapter 18 of Revelation indicates that Roman Catholicism, depicted in scripture as Mystery Babylon, will control the merchants of the earth and be in a position where it oversees the finances of the world in the last days (verses 2 and 3). It is no surprise that Vatican officials and even the Pope are always denouncing the current financial system in the western world and calling for economic restructuring. Certainly, Pope Francis is uninhibited about decrying the “evils” of capitalism and has not once called for a “new economic order,”1 warning of economic collapse if things continue the way they are. To avert a collapse, “The Vatican is calling for an impartial authority to regulate financial markets, so they do not create a greater poverty.”2 The fact that a church, the most influential church, is seeking to regulate businesses should cause much concern. It is not difficult to discern that the Vatican is asserting itself as that “impartial” regulatory authority. Because Roman Catholicism is a church, its regulations would come through the prism of the doctrines and traditions of the church. But can they get away with it is the question. Consider that no denomination enjoys the privileges that Roman Catholicism does, such as being an active voice at the United Nations and also being afforded the opportunity to have its leader speak before a joint session of the United States congress as Pope Francis did in 2015. As with many other social and even political issues that have government leaders perplexed and desperate to find solutions, they are looking for a “moral” authority to provide direction; and oh how readily Roman Catholicism will come to their aid.
A May 17 article on Bloomberg under the title of “Pope calls derivatives market a ‘ticking time bomb,’” states “now Pope Francis, of all people, is taking aim at derivatives… ‘A ticking time bomb,’ the Vatican called them. The unusual rebuke -- derivatives rarely reach the level of religious doctrine -- is in keeping with Francis’s skeptical view of unbridled global capitalism…The Vatican said that in certain areas of the derivatives markets there’s an ‘ethical void .’”3 In the new economic, regulatory order proposed by the Roman Catholic Church, capitalism or private enterprise must be done away. When capitalism is destroyed, the buying and selling is no longer controlled by private business owners but can be controlled by a regulatory agency, which would be Roman Catholicism. This is clear evidence that the Mark of the Beast crisis written of in Revelation 13:15-17 is not far distant, which has everything to do with dictating (regulating) who, how and when individuals can buy and sell; and the Mark of the Beast begins in America, a capitalist society. The Beast of Revelation 13 unequivocally identifies Roman Catholicism and highlights the church’s cardinal doctrine, Sunday worship, and will mandate that everyone observe Sunday or lose his/her privilege of buying and selling.
Consider the Sunday shopping ban that has taken effect in Poland, and the role that capitalism played in initially and formerly allowing Sunday shopping, which it was stated that “Poland’s move…could provide a constructive example for the United States, where the network of state ‘blue laws’ that once restricted Sunday business activities has been substantially reduced.”4 “Stores remained shuttered all over Poland as the country’s new Sunday shopping ban went into effect on March 11. The new law will be introduced in stages…But in 2020, they will be shut every Sunday…Traditionally Poles have spent Sundays in church...Ironically, Sunday shopping began only when democracy and capitalism returned to Poland.”5 It must not be forgotten that America in 1989 was instrumental in the falling of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of communism which ushered capitalism into Poland and other communist countries. Ironically, the United States joined forces with Popery (under John Paul II) to accomplish this; however in the last days, the United States will unite with Popery to undo capitalism and usher in the National Sunday Law, the Mark of the Beast.
Hence, this new economic order that Pope Francis and the Vatican are calling for would institute Sunday shopping bans, no buying and selling, and mandatory Sunday worship. Perhaps you may be wondering who specifically besides Pope Francis in the Vatican is proposing this authority to regulate financial markets. By its own, unapologetic admission, it is the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, headed by Luis Ladaria. Notice the following from Rome Reports “The Holy See is asking through an official document on ethics and financial markets, prepared by two large departments of the Curia: the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, and the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development. It has personally been approved by the pope and is entitled ‘Economic and Financial Issues.’”6 What exactly is The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith you may be wondering. You might be astonished to discover that it is the modern name for the ancient Papal Inquisition Board. But why take our word for it when you can hear it from papists themselves. “Fr. Di Noia's gloss on history is significant because the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith is the successor body to the Inquisition… Interviewed in the documentary, The Secret Files of the Inquisition, Fr Di Noia says: ‘It was a mistake to torture people. However, torture was regarded as a perfectly justified, legitimate way of producing evidence and it was therefore legally justified.’"7
It is no wonder that the modern Inquisition Board along with a Jesuit Pope would have such vested interest in controlling the world’s economy, considering the aims and operations of both, namely to secure wealth for the overthrow of Protestantism and to enforce her decrees using instruments of torture. Therefore, whosoever opposes the new economic order will be tortured and killed. The very fact that the board is still in existence is a clear indicator that its mission is not yet complete, and when necessary she will revive her former persecutions. “Vowed to perpetual poverty and humility, it was their [the Jesuits] studied aim to secure wealth and power, to be devoted to the overthrow of Protestantism, and the re-establishment of the papal supremacy… It was a fundamental principle of the order that the end justifies the means. By this code, lying, theft, perjury, assassination, were not only pardonable but commendable, when they served the interests of the church.”8 “In the days of Rome's supremacy there were instruments of torture to compel assent to her doctrines. There was the stake for those who would not concede to her claims. There were massacres on a scale that will never be known until revealed in the judgment. Dignitaries of the church studied, under Satan their master, to invent means to cause the greatest possible torture and not end the life of the victim. In many cases the infernal process was repeated to the utmost limit of human endurance, until nature gave up the struggle, and the sufferer hailed death as a sweet release.”9
A final confirming note that this economic authority being called for is not impartial, but a religious order that will mandate religious laws is the fact that it is being promulgated for the sake of the common good, a Roman Catholic social teaching10 that compels citizens to give up their individual rights for the sake of the community. Incidentally the common good is connected with Sunday worship and was preached before a joint session of congress by Pope Francis in 2015. Bible prophecy is fulfilling before our very eyes; get ready, get ready get ready!
