Benefits of String Beans

String beans are able to ease gastrointestinal issues such as constipation, ulcers, and acid reflux disease. The reason for this is because of it’s high fiber content. If we make sure to have enough fiber in our diet, we can keep our stomachs working properly.

  • String beans have 110 grams of Fiber, which serves as 15% of our daily recommended amount of fiber.

This is because of two nutrients within string beans called lutein (LOO-teen) and zeaxanthin (zee-ah-ZAN-thin). “In nature, lutein and zeaxanthin...absorb excess light energy to prevent damage to plants from too much sunlight,” likewise, the more string beans we consume, these two nutrients will prevent harmful light from reaching the inner workings of the eye, which reduce the risk of vision deterioration.

  String beans are high in an immune system-boosting compound called flavonoids. Flavonoids are of a wide variety and have many different benefits,  but primarily flavonoids protect nerve cells from dangerous free radicals and eliminate them from our system before they can cause illness or tissue damage.

  • Prevent Certain Cancers

String beans contain natural insulin and their natural insulin drives excess glucose from the blood and  into our cells, as food. This can treat neuropathy and manage blood sugar levels.
