Pope Francis Preaches his version of the Loud Cry and the Three Angels

January 1, 2017

While many professed Seventh-day Adventists are proving unfaithful to their trust of boldly, resolutely and unapologetically proclaiming the unadulterated Three Angels Message, Satan has inspired the very blasphemous entity that is identified in the Second and Third Angels’ Messages (Babylon, the Beast) to preach its own version of the Three Angels’ Messages along with end-time Bible prophecy. That’s right, Pope Francis is preaching a “loud cry” of his own and has the unmitigated gall to use Revelation 18 and identify Babylon, of course falsely.  In a desperate effort to remove any suspicion from the organization that he represents as the entity there brought to view, Pope Francis audaciously goes to the exact text that commands God’s people to come out of Babylon, Roman Catholicism and the fallen churches of Protestantism that are drunk with her with wine. The November 24 article was published in the Vatican newspaper, L’Osservatore Romano, entitled “Three Voices,” should serve as a wake-up call to God’s denominated people.

“‘In the final week of the liturgical year,’ the Pope noted, the Church calls us ‘to think about the end times, because there will be an end: an end to the world, an end to each one of us’…The first voice Francis spoke of was “the cry:” referring to the cry that is the “loud voice” of the angel, as we read in the passage taken from the Book of Revelation (18:1-2, 21-23; 19:1-3,9)… The angel ‘cried with a loud voice: ‘Babylon has fallen.’ And, the Pope explained, that…‘Corruption is the way of living blasphemy…’ ‘corruption is a form of blasphemy, the language of this Babylon, of this worldliness, blasphemy: there is no God,’ however ‘there is the god of money, the god of well being, the God of exploitation.’ The Pontiff went on to say that ‘this Babylon, this worldliness, this kingship of the world that seduces the great of the earth — some do not fall and are holy, others fall due to the power of corruption, the ‘power of blasphemy’ — it will fall, this civilization will fall and the angel’s cry is a cry of victory: ‘fallen.’ Babylon ends in this way, ‘that deceived with its seductions. And the empire of vanity and pride will fall, as Satan fell, it will fall.’”[1]

He goes on to say something equally as startling and incriminating, dealing with worshipping God; which we know that Roman Catholicism is the entity that forces the nations to enact false worship, Sunday worship, which translates  to paying homage to the Man of Sin, under penalty of prohibition of buying ad selling and then death (Revelation 13:15-17). Pope Francis says the following:  “‘We cannot remain with only the first angel’s cry if there is not this other voice… The first ‘cry’ is therefore ‘the fall,’ while ‘the second is worship.’”[2]

The sad reality is that many Seventh-day Adventists cannot even recall when they last heard a message from their local church on the Three Angels’ Messages, the loud cry of Revelation 18, or even a message on end-time Bible prophecy; and if they do hear such messages, they are egregiously watered down and shamefully misapplied. As a result many have no true understanding of the grand importance of these messages, cannot explain their meaning and thus have no desire to share them with a dying world.  And when some Seventh-day Adventists arouse and see that this is the message that must be given to the world and decide to share it, their work will be decidedly harder because individuals will have already had exposure to Pope Francis’ counterfeit messages.  Indeed Pope Francis was inspired to preach his loud cry message, inspired and possessed by Satan, in order to prepare individuals to receive his misinterpretations of scripture and thus reject the true understanding of the final message, the reception or rejection of which has eternal consequences and upon which the destiny of souls hangs. We should however not be surprised, as this has ever been Satan’s stratagem; and we can be assured that his efforts will become even more aggressive as the end approaches, hence the warning of Revelation 12:12 “Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”  We are told that just before the occurrence Revelation 18:1, the Mighty Angel coming down from heaven with great power and lightening the earth with his glory, that it would be preceded by Satan’s counterfeit.  “Before the final visitation of God's judgments upon the earth there will be among the people of the Lord such a revival of primitive godliness as has not been witnessed since apostolic times. The Spirit and power of God will be poured out upon His children. At that time many will separate themselves from those churches in which the love of this world has supplanted love for God and His word… The enemy of souls desires to hinder this work; and before the time for such a movement shall come, he will endeavor to prevent it by introducing a counterfeit.”[3]

If this is not positive indication that the end of all things is at hand, it is a possibility that those deniers are either gospel-hardened or altogether indifferent or scoffers. May the Lord find us faithful in heralding the Three Angels’ Messages with a loud voice; but before we can give it, let us faithfully live it and have the experience of the Three Angels; for it will not be much longer and He that shall come, will come and will not tarry.
