So, it just so happens that when you signed up for that gym membership, it was not explained to you that you may have very well signed a decree for your own death sentence. Don't get me wrong now, gyms have their benefits in that they provide a community hub for exercise and encouragement through the companionship of your peers and the encouragement from instructors, but are you also aware that not only is the equipment dirty but also the air? Studies show, that the confined air in gym spaces are the most toxic element in the entire building! As most gyms provide sanitizing wipes to disinfect equipment in between uses this cannot be an option of remedy concerning the quality and cleanliness of the air.

 

While gasping for deep breaths during cardio and aerobic workouts, you are inadvertently taking in all the gasping breaths of those around you. “When we exercise, we take in more air with each breath and most of that air goes through the mouth, bypassing the natural filtration system” in our noses..." (Mateo, 2014)While bypassing the body's natural filtration system, formaldehyde and carbon dioxide levels are extremely high, plunging directly and deeper into the lungs ! This can cause tiredness, dizziness, and metal fogginess.

 

The best environment for exercise is in the open air. The open air allows you to breathe in clean fresh air that helps invigorate the body and mind. Afterall, this was Adam and Eve's environment.

The open air is not in a confined space and you can only exchange carbon dioxide for pure oxygen.  And you  know all those tiring, muscle aching, strenuous workouts at the gym? Well, it just so happens that brisk walking is the BEST exercise for the entire body and produces the biggest positive effects. "To be much in the open air is positively essential for health. {HR, April 1, 1872 par. 3} There is no exercise that will prove so beneficial to every part of the body as walking. Active walking in the open air will do more ... to preserve them in health if well, than any other means. Walking is also one of the most efficient remedies for the recovery of health to the invalid."{HL130}

 

" Walking, in all cases where it is possible, is the best remedy... because in this exercise all the organs of the body are brought into use." (CH 200). In all fairness though, your gym attendants may have no clue of this looming issue in their environment, however, now, you do.
