AGGRESSIVE EVANGELISM

Christ’s method alone will bring true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He said, “Follow Me.” MH 143.3
We are called to come close to people through personal effort. If less time were spent on sermonizing and more on personal ministry, the results would be far greater. The poor are to be helped, the sick cared for, the sorrowing and bereaved comforted, the ignorant instructed, and the inexperienced guided. We are to weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice. When this work is carried out with the power of persuasion, prayer, and the love of God, it will not—indeed, it cannot—be without fruit. MH 143.4
